0.39" Micro OLED Display for Thermal Imaging — 1024×768 XGA, 500 nits, CVBS Board
0.39 inch micro oled display 1024x768
The LXR039XGA is a 0.39-inch Si-OLED microdisplay that puts a full XGA frame — 2.38 million dots — inside a 16.6 × 14.2 mm package, at a total weight of 1 gram. It was chosen by engineers who need a viewfinder that adds resolution without adding payload: thermal imagers, night-vision scopes, red-dot sights, camera EVFs, and near-eye AR prototypes.
The panel is self-emissive silicon OLED, not backlit LCD. Each of the 7.8 µm pixels switches on its own, so a black frame draws almost nothing and the measured contrast lands above 10,000:1. Thermal palettes render as true black background with clean white-hot and red-hot gradients — no backlight bleed washing out the cold end of the scene.
Add a CVBS board, skip the PCB design
Most thermal cores and analog cameras still output composite video. Instead of asking you to design an OLED timing board, we ship a ready CVBS driver board: 75 Ω composite in, panel out, OSD menu for brightness / contrast / mirror / position. If your source is digital, take the same panel with an HDMI board. Both are pre-tested as a pair with the panel before shipping, and both use the same 0.39-inch display — so your firmware and optics don't change when your video source does.
Built for the temperature range your device actually runs in
Specified from −40 °C to +65 °C operating and −55 °C to +90 °C storage. That is a wider swing than consumer microdisplays typically publish, which matters on a rail-mounted optic, a firefighting helmet, or an outdoor inspection camera left in a vehicle overnight. The panel also carries an on-board temperature sensor and PWM dimming over I²C, so brightness can be compensated as the housing heats up.
Why 1024 × 768 at this size wins
Pixel pitch is 7.8 µm. In an optic with modest magnification that means you cannot see the pixel grid: text overlays, reticle markings and menu chrome stay sharp instead of turning into stair-steps. Combined with 25 Hz – 120 Hz refresh, fast panning across a thermal scene stays clean rather than smearing.
Choose your configuration
- Panel only — bare 61-pin module for teams with their own driver electronics.
- Panel + CVBS driver board — plug-and-play composite video in, for thermal cores, analog cameras and legacy systems.
- Panel + HDMI driver board — for cameras, PCs and media players (where offered).
Monochrome variants (white / green / red, up to 10,000 cd/m²) are available on request for daylight-visible or night-vision-preserving optics.
